1. "Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser from MGMT are just two of the special guests on the upcoming album of upstate New York-based poet and singer-songwriter Cheval Sombre. Called ‘Mad Love’, it’s out on November 5 via Sonic Cathedral, and also features guest appearances from former Spacemen 3 man Sonic Boom."

  2. "MGMT bring the vocoder weirdness on ‘Future Games’, written by Fleetwood Mac’s most underrated bod, Bob Welch. It swirls about in Benjamin Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden’s rainbow spirals before collapsing in a heap of bleeps and fuzz."

  3. I’m really happy that MGMT made it on NME’s Greatest Tracks of it’s Lifetime list but I seriously don’t agree with NME.

There’s no way in hell that Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division is number 1, let alone beats A Day In the Life by The Beatles.

  7. "While it’s unlikely to be troubling charts any time soon, it has enough flashes of oddball brilliance to remind us that there’s still plenty to care about. The frustration often caused by MGMT’s stranger forays isn’t to do with their lack of commercial chirp, but that the pair’s psych-tinged, noodling tendencies often take on the un-filtered, meandering quality of throwing a shitload of paint at a wall and seeing what sticks. A weird and kind of wonderful return."

MGMT’s new album one of NME’s most anticipated albums of 2012. “Expected Summer” - wonder if that’s confirmed…
